Retreats with Frank and Kathy in Belgium in the EastWest Center. Every year we offer residential retreats in a macrobiotic center off the beaten track in the woods in the deep south of Belgium, close to the famous abbey of Orval. Look at the pastoral scenery on www.boislecomte.be. The classes are also listed on www.owc.be (East West Center) where registration has already begun.
These classes are in Dutch and English with translation by Frank whenever needed.
Workshop/Retreat with Frank and Kathy Melcher-Coppieters in Santa Fe (2 nights) and at the Ghost Ranch (5 nights) in New Mexico, USA – October 26 - November 2, 2017
“Exploring the Inner Sky through Meditation, Reiki and Shamanic Ceremony”
Kathy and I fell in love with this Land of Enchantment to which Phyllis Furumoto introduced us last year.
The land itself, so well-known for its stunning landscapes that came to the rest of the world through Georgia O’Keeffe’s paintings is calling us back! O’Keeffe made The Ghost Ranch (or el Rancho de los Brujos, the Ranch of the Witches as it was called originally) her home and it is a perfect place for deep healing work and shamanic ceremony.
This year we will first spend 2 days in Santa Fe in a nice hotel where there will be Inspired Guidance Meditation before breakfast and then plenty of time to explore this beautiful town.
There is so much to see in Santa Fe and we will make options available. There is the extraordinarily beautiful Buddhist stupa. There is the famous Loretto Chapel, the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, the New Mexico History Museum
There is “The Prado in Santa Fe”, an exceptional exhibition featuring 92 masterworks recreated as public art from the renowned Museo del Prado in Madrid, and which happens to be available till October 29.
Kevin Spitzer, our amazing field guide from last year, will take us on two outdoor trips while we are on the Ghost Ranch. One trip will be to the ancestors of the Pueblo Indians, the Anasazi (“The Ancient Ones”) who were cave and cliff dwellers. Another one will be a hike into the spectacular Plaza Blanca, a geological wonder of white weathered stone close to the Ghost Ranch.
Registration: We have booked space for 22 participants. At the Ghost Ranch we have some double occupancy rooms with an inside bathroom and some (more rustic) with an outside bathroom. We also have a limited number of rooms at the Ghost Ranch with single occupancy. The earlier you register the more chance you can book the room of your preference. In Santa Fe we have enough rooms to give everyone a single room or a double room.
Prices include: lodging and breakfast in SANTA FE, lodging and all meals in GHOST RANCH except for one dinner out. All trips and tour arrangements for the week are included except for the bus trip from the Albuquerque Airport (or any other airport of your choice) to our hotel, the SAGE INN in Santa Fe ($30 plus tip) and the return trip from Ghost Ranch to Albuquerque airport (another $30 plus tip). Also not included is a tip to Kevin for his various tour arrangements.
Price does not include airfare but covers the days in Santa Fe and Ghost Ranch.
There are four price categories (depending on availability):
$1,550 (more upscale room at Ghost Ranch with inside bathroom) ($1,850 for single occupancy)
$1,250 (rustic room with outside bathroom) ($1,550 for single occupancy)
A non-refundable $500 guarantees you a place in the retreat. Full payment is expected by August 25th . In the US checks can be sent to Frank Coppieters, 5440 SW Florida Street, Portland, OR 97219. Send us an email when you send a check. For our European participants: send us an email and will give you my Belgian Bank Account.
~ NEW! ~
Some of you have met Ben Haggard in February 2016 in our home (Living Light Center, 5440 SW Florida Street, Portland, OR 97219) where he met us to propose a “Resource Development Program” for 2017-18.
There has been a group in Salem, OR, organized by Ellen Montague, that has been active for awhile and members of this group will be joining the Portland group. Newcomers are most welcome and online participation is a possibility as well.
We are very happy that Ben has agreed to make this offering available to us. Kathy and I have worked with Ben in the past and have enjoyed our learning!
Now we have the dates available. The program is a two-year commitment and is spread out over 4 weekend sessions in 2017 - 2018 and costs $1,200.
The dates are: July 22-23 and November 18-19, 2017; February 17-18 and April 28-29.
Each day the sessions start at 9am in the morning and finish with Reiki sessions starting at 4pm.
This seminar explores pathways to increasing our personal capacity to know ourselves, see our actions through objective lenses, and ask ourselves relevant questions that allow us to engage in the lives we choose with more clarity, authenticity and personal authority. In turn, of course, these skills telescope out through us to the communities and circles we are a part of so we can make a substantial impact to the viability of our world.
To register or inquire please contact Frank Coppieters: firstname.lastname@example.org
